Laba Group* (“We,” “Us,” “Laba Group”), is a group of companies providing educational platforms with specialized courses, training programs, seminars, conferences, workshops, lectures, consultations in an online format, and other similar remote events or their recordings. We are committed to respecting your privacy and safeguarding your rights. 

This Privacy Notice (together with any other documents referred to herein) sets out the basis on which the personal data collected from you, or that you provide to Us, will be processed by Us in connection with our recruitment processes. Please read the following carefully to understand our views and practices regarding your personal data and how we will treat it.

Where you apply for a job opening posted by Us, these Privacy Notice provisions will apply to our processing of your personal information. Your Personal Information

Information We collect from you

We collect and process the following personal data when you apply for a role:

• Basic details: Name, email address, address, telephone number, and date of birth.
• Professional information: Qualifications, employment history, skills, and experience.
• Communication records: Any correspondence you have with us.
• Application progress: Notes and feedback from our personnel on your hiring process.
• Website usage data: Traffic data, location data, weblogs, referral sources, and accessed resources.
Video recordings: If your interview is conducted using the Video Interview feature and you have provided consent to be recorded.

We retain personal data for three (3) years, unless you request its removal earlier. The legal basis for processing your personal data depends on the purpose, including:

• Contractual necessity – To process job applications and employment contracts.
• Legitimate interest – For talent acquisition, candidate sourcing from public sources, and improving recruitment analytics.
• Legal obligation – To comply with tax, employment, and equal opportunity laws.
• Consent – When required, such as for storing candidate information beyond retention periods or recording interviews.

Information We collect from other sources

We may also collect personal data from publicly available sources and third parties to assess potential candidates for job openings. This may include:

• Professional profiles: Information from platforms such as LinkedIn and other publicly accessible social media profiles.
• External databases: We may search databases, both public and private, that contain professional or employment-related information, including CVs or résumés.
• Referrals: If a third party recommends you as a candidate for a job, we may receive and process your information in accordance with our referral policy.

This data is retained for three (3) years, unless you request its removal earlier. We rely on our legitimate interest in identifying and hiring the most suitable candidates. We ensure that this processing does not override your privacy rights and that appropriate safeguards are in place. Purposes of processing

We process personal data to facilitate and improve our recruitment process, ensuring we identify the best candidates for our roles. Specifically, we use your data to:

• Evaluate your application for the role you have applied for, ensuring a fair and thorough assessment of your qualifications and suitability.
• Consider your profile for other relevant opportunities that align with your experience and skill set, even if they were not the initial position you applied for.
• Communicate with you throughout the recruitment process, providing updates, requesting additional information, and responding to inquiries.
• Enhance the information provided by supplementing it with publicly available professional details or third-party data sources to gain a more complete understanding of your qualifications.
• Analyze and optimize our hiring practices, using aggregated insights to improve recruitment strategies, refine job descriptions, and enhance candidate experience.
• Share limited data with service providers (such as Workable, job sites, and recruitment partners) to streamline hiring workflows, facilitate application processing, and improve service delivery.

We do not rely on AI for screening purposes. All candidate evaluations are conducted by our recruitment team to ensure a fair and thorough assessment. We process personal data to facilitate and improve our recruitment process, ensuring we identify the best candidates for our roles.

We ensure that all data processing aligns with applicable privacy laws and includes appropriate safeguards to protect your personal information. If you have any concerns regarding how your data is used, you may contact us for further clarification or to exercise your rights under applicable data protection regulations.

Security

We employ reasonable procedures and security measures to prevent unauthorized access, loss, disclosure, or alteration of the personal data we collect. The data we process is stored in secure IT systems owned or managed by the Laba Group and in cloud services located in the European Union.

While we implement robust security measures, it is important to note that no data transmission over the Internet or any electronic storage method is entirely secure. Therefore, we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we continuously strive to protect personal data to the highest possible standard..

Storage and Data Transfers 

The Laba Group is an international group of companies and publishes job openings in various countries. As part of our recruitment process, data transfers may occur in the following situations:

• If you apply for a position outside the EEA, your personal data may be transferred to the office in the country where the position is located to facilitate the recruitment process. The entity in the country where the position is published is the Controller of your personal data under relevant data protection laws.
• Our headquarters is in Ukraine, where recruitment-related data is processed to support hiring activities across different locations.
• If you are hired, your role may involve working with multiple Laba Group branches, meaning your information may be accessed by personnel in third countries to ensure smooth cooperation across our international operations.
• We rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) as a safeguard to ensure an adequate level of data protection when transferring data outside the UK or EEA.

If you are uncomfortable with these international data transfers, we advise against applying for positions within our organization, as our operations require close collaboration among different Laba Group entities worldwide.

We employ reasonable procedures and security measures to prevent unauthorized access, loss, disclosure, or alteration of the personal data we collect.

Additionally, we may disclose personal data to:

• Third-party service providers engaged to support our hiring process, such as Workable, Willo Video, Linkedin, Google Services, VideoAsk, Criteria Corp, and Asana. This list is not exhaustive, so please reach out to us if you wish to receive up to date information about the full list of processors. 
• Regulatory authorities and law enforcement agencies, when required by law.
• Other third parties, such as in emergencies or upon your request.

We follow the guidelines of the applicable laws and include safeguards to protect your personal information. If you have any concerns regarding how your data is used, you may contact us for further clarification or to exercise your rights under applicable data protection regulations.

Your rights

Subject to local data protection laws, including the GDPR, you have several important rights at no cost. These include:

Laba Group consists of multiple entities operating in different countries. The specific entity in the country where the job opening is posted acts as the controller of your personal data under relevant data protection laws.
